Chloroform has been removed from most uses due to the fact that it is now
considered to be a carcinogen and most folks have discontinued useing it.  I
have found that if I need to collect some bees I use ether, Started Fluid
works well and it you allow the bees to dry in the open air for a minute the
maintain good condition.
