Maybe there are two issues regarding imbalance of HB populations, especially
on protected land where alien plants are a respected concern.

Do HBs compete with native bees for limited forage, special concern for the
welfare of specialists bees, many at risk?

And do HBs contribute to the spread of alien plants by pollinating them
disproportionately more than native bees do?
