Hi Joe,
Your question on 'making your back last the distance' is right on the
button.
I use a stand (400 x 500 mm) fitted with mattress springs.
The base of the stand has a 100 mm deep 'bean bag'.
The top and base are separated by 4 x 2 (8 ) mattress springs and are kept
in the same plane by 4 scissor action 'guides'.
The bean bag allow the 'stand' to be 'set' level on uneven ground.
Sorry this is a bit difficult to explain, but the effect is that the honey
boxes can be put on the stand and the stand allows them to float at a
reasonable height to work on and to 'lift off'.
It is made from aluminium and 'balances' my '5 frame work box' quite well
when walking to the hive.
Cheers Paul b.
