Interesting article on the case in Calif Lawyer http://www.callawyer.com/2015/07/disappearing-bees-and-the-battle-over-pesticides/

Great links. Thanks, Whats interesting to me is several key points that are missing. First, most attorneys would love to make it a class action suit, and it seems no attempt to do that has been made.

What these suits as described are doing is attempting to make companies prove a huge negative. Lots of reference to "sub lethal" effects, which anyone with a brain understands is nothing but a huge loophole. Trying to change what has been a good benchmark (LD%) standards. To something that is a floating target at best. Water could not pass the test they want to impose.

While I am positive there have been some case and will be cases where spraying is a problem, we need to address those (such as removing almonds from the list like Dow did)

We all would be money ahead if we quit paying lawyers to argue this stuff and put that money in a fund to reimburse gross errors.....

It also negates any personal responsibility, such as Andersons relationship with his grower. He moved to those fields under a contract to pollinate. That contract should have covered the grower spraying pesticides. What these rules are trying to do is take away personal responsibility.

Its also interesting to note they keep referencing corn and beans even though there is SUBSTANIAL evidence that shows no adverse effects, or residues in hives.

Ahh the SAGA continues.

Charles
