Regarding bees remembering where they were...
 
You are not "erasing their memory," as you put it.  when you move the bees,
you are waiting for the bees that are imprinted on a given site to die and
be replaced by bees that were never there.  Therefore, you must wait longer
than the lifespan of the bees in question...
