To answer Stan's question bees are strong flyers and in Florida I saw bees
fly over a mile over water to work flowers. At a speed of say fifteen MPH
the distance would take approx 4 minutes.

Speaking of water. Missouri holds a *worlds weather record* which has stood
since today's date in 1947.

On June 22, 1947 outside St. Louis Missouri the weather bureau documented 12
inches of rain fell in 42 minutes.

In the flood year of 1993 we saw 8 in. one day and 9 in. the next over 48
hours.
We were heading into a drought in 1993 when the weather changed. Water was
over the roads in all four directions for a short time.

12 in. in 42 minutes is hard for me to imagine yet happened 65 years ago
today!
