I have found HandBase for Palm very useful. It's simple enought to easy
learn, has backup feature to desktop computer, and can export data to
Excel for evaluation. I have one database for the yards, that is the one
I mainly use. One for the whole operation with every hive, that is for
evaluation in breeding. One for the queen rearing, etc.

I use the Palm Tungsten C, it has a keybord with big enough keys to
write in the field. I find it worth the time to type in details on the
spot. The greatest benefit is that I always have all info I need there
with me all the time.
