Another hobby with controversial aspects, Civil War Reenacting, has also run
afoul of the media with things being misquoted, misrepresented or the media
person seeking out the most "outrageous" example of the whatever they're
trying to portray. Most reenactors have learned by experience or example to
"just say no" when it comes to reporters. As a reenactor and hobby beekeeper,
that is just what I intend to do should the situation ever arise. You must
never forget- all reporters have an agenda and at best, that agenda is to
sell the news.
