> Director jailed over food firm's false organic claim

Indeed, rogues exist and need to be exposed.
However, as a Farmer's Markets provider/attender, what is the appropriate
response to questions such as:

Is your honey organic?

I'll leave aside the other two:
Is (you honey) cold pressed and/or is it GM free? for another day.

My difficulty in responding comes from not wanting to sound like a
politician or lawyer.

Q.Do I use chemicals?
A. Yes!... Smoke ... sugar sometimes... pollen substitute sometimes...
Q. What else?
A. My hives (not the bees) are routinely gamma-rayed every five years.
Is that what the customers wish to hear?

Am I being dishonest if I omit the latter reply?
Am I a non-organic honey-producer if I don't have certification?

Truthful replies confuse the public do they not?
.
