Yet she concludes with this: “There are obvious parallels with the
tobacco industry,” said Goulson. “For 50 years they insisted that
smoking wasn’t harmful to human health, even when the scientific
evidence piled up..."

I remember that when my daughter was in grade school, she was taught to
read articles with an eye to bias and slant.  I found that interesting,
as most people cannot detect bias that seems really obvious to the
trained eye.
