Sorry, I muffed that one, my brain was going faster than my eyes. This is a very interesting question. There is a lot of talk about Nosema "strains" but nobody is really sure what this means. It is entirely possible that this "new nosema" is fumagillin resistant strain and that is why it replaced the N. apis, which was controllable by fumagillin. There may be "strains" that can build up to high levels without hurting the bees. A lot to learn!
