I believe I started this and maybe I should finish it, for now, at least.

In private communications, I have been told that this effect is, indeed,
unusual, and not common, but very distinct and real, and provable when it
happens.

For the present only, I am satisfied that it has been observed in a
scientific enough manner to be admitted as a symptom, again -- for
emphasis -- for the present.

I think that skepticism is justified, and I know there have been struggles
for the funds, BUT, I think, at this point, we have to wait to see how
things shake out. Current scientific expectations being what they are,
serious researchers are forced to hold back information until they publish
and bite their tongues in the meantime.

I appreciate Bob's observations and comments, but I think we will have to
wait for publication. Time will tell.
