There's a huge gap between public perception of CCD as a certainty, and the growing skepticism on BEE-L.

How does one sensibly bridge such a gap without coming off as a flat-earther?

Such bridging is hampered by those within the beekeeping community itself who accept and perpetuate the gospel of CCD, whether or not not it's been personally experienced.    


It will be interesting to see how the cycle of misinformation/misconception resolves itself.
