May I suggest that you review Suchail 2003 Metabolism of imidacloprid in
Apis mellifera?  They found that IMD and its metabolites were rapidly
cleared from the bees' bodies.  Does this not indicate that any binding
would then be reversed?  If the compounds have been broken down into CO2, I
don't see how they could continue to have an effect.

The above is also supported by Cresswell 2013 Clearance of ingested
neonicotinoid pesticide...

I have yet to see evidence of cumulative buildup or cumulative effects from
the neonics.
