I just got a new cappings melter, had an old one that the seams let go and
could not get anyone to repair it, takes sliver solder, then while sitting
around waiting to find someone that could sliver solder it got run over by
a truck so it was beyond repair. The new one has two heating elements an
immersion heater and the other is in a close-able hood with the element
exposed. The temperature controls go from 100 to 500 F. It came with no
directions at all, I expected them to give a recommend temperature to run
each heat source at. So can someone here recommended temperatures? The
exposed heating element needs to be low because there is nothing between it
and the wax. My old tank did not have a dial control for temperature so I
can not go by that.
