I've seen the occasional honey bee squeeze thru 6 mesh.

We used 6 mesh to put a small screen on a queen shipping box so we could
easily add a syrup bottle when coming in from the field with remaining
queens at the end of a day.  (Pictures are available at my May 29, 2002
