I have to support that view.  Not so sure about 'small cell', but it must be
sensible to preserve local "survivor" stock - or any local stock for that
matter.  In a world where so much genetic material is being lost, we should
not try to impose anything on local communities who may have something far
more valuable than we could have ever dreamt about.
