The Root Company designed and sold a similar device about 50 years ago, maybe 40 or so. It was in the 1960s. The problems with their design would fill a book, propolis leading the way, but also constant weight bending the rails and making it impossible to move the box. Weathering also took a toll...freezing, thawing, and the wood shrinking and expanding making the rails uneven. This looks like the entire super is encased, excluding bees from the rail area...but bees will be bees...if the hardware is sturdy enough, and bees are excluded it might be OK...technology being what it is, perhaps all of those problems have been solved. I doubt you would be moving it very much, and keeping it level would be necessary....
