Hi all
I am sure we don't want to get into an argument about transgenic crops again, but I would like to point out that people tend to be afraid of new things they don't understand.
Unfortunately, very few average citizens have the time or inclination to TRY to understand what genetic modification is and what it does. It is not inherently evil, unnatural, or harmful.
Technology must be judged on what it does, and not feared simply because it is not understood. The harm usually comes from misguided application of powerful tools and inadequate concern over safety issues, -- on this we can probably agree.
