Mike,
The reason that I am fairly confident that there was no other queen is
because I have only three hives and they are in my back yard, so I go into
them more than I should probably. This particular hive came through the
winter with just a handful of bees so I know what was in there. Having gone
in the hive probably once a week, they have not built any queen cells. I did
not shake them through an excluder though. I did not look for a second
queen just prior to requeening, maybe because I only heard of two queens
cohabiting in the last few months since joining BEE-L. I believe it
happens. I guess it's just another case where knowledge didn't travel from
my head to my hands.

Dave, I haven't had a chance to check out the web pages, but I will.

Thanks,
r/Ron
