Back on 27 Jan 2000 Sid Pullinger told the list of a letter on this topic to
the Hampshire Beekeeper from an experienced beekeeper. The insertion into a
queen-less, egg-less, brood-less strong colony of new eggs and young larvae
on the tips of a bundle of straws was described. The result was supposedly
brood and Q cells corresponding to the number of eggs and larvae given to
the colony. Sid invited us to try for ourselves: did no-one do this
experiment? Full details in the archives ....

Gavin.
