And let me further add this: I will generally argue for any view that I
feel is being under represented in a discussion.  For example, I've been
playing Devil's Advocate in the discussion on neonics, since that point of
view was not getting fair play.  I could just as well argue the other
side.  And I'm happy to switch sides at any point in a debate.

I agree with Christina--one should not  contribute to a discussion until
one has done their homework.  Ideally, one should do their homework such
that they are well versed in the arguments on both sides of the issue.  On
the other hand, if one has questions that have not been debated, or for
which you cannot find good answers, feel free to offer them to the List as
questions.
