Hi friends:
       About colors and honey bees.
Honey bees do not discriminate but they are highly selective. Colors
reflect or absorb ultra violet light to which the honey bees react. This is
a fact that Karl Von Frisch made known after intensive scientific research on
the subject. And yes, insects do react to odors, aromas, essences, whatever!
For the newbies: try a thorough wash with a
mild non-aromatic soap before working your hives and get ready to experience
the
difference: no stinging! Of course it goes without saying, no banging,
slapping, roughing
of the equipment is part of the required technique for pleasure without
stings.
Best regards.
