Was it WAXED Pierco?  The unwaxed version does NOT work well.  I don't know
WHY they sell it.
We have used the unwaxed version for years. When the temperature is correct , the hive is strong and the bees are in the mood to draw wax we see  no difference in the wax and unwaxed being  drawn. Timing is important plus feeding in getting plastic drawn. ALWAYS PUSH FRAMES OF FOUNDATION TOGETHER TO BE DRAWN  A quart of syrup in a boardman feeder every Saturday on your day off will not get plastic drawn.
