Hi all

It occurred to me that the difference between fresh pollen and bee bread can be compared to fresh and pickled food. For example, fresh vegetables are certainly more nutritious and generally more appealing than pickled ones. But pickles can keep for a very long time, while fresh food rapidly loses its food value. Also, consumption of large quantities of pickled food is unhealthy, due to various reasons. So, it may be that bee bread is simply the way that bees preserve pollen for long term storage and it is not really as good as fresh pollen. Better than nothing
