        Mark- I can comment on tracheal mite resistance. We have screened
italian, buckfast, and new world carn. bees for use in our breeding
program and have found resistance in each race. Selection is more
important than race with regard to HTM resistance. Of course there are
other differances to consider. Personaly I prefer a carniolan type bee
here in the north but others still like italian or buck.
