  A few weeks ago someone mentioned a book on pollination.  You can find
information on pollination of papayas on pp. 274-277 of that publication
(1976.  S.E. McGregor.  INSECT POLLINATION OF CULTIVATED CROP PLANTS.  ARS.
USDA Agricultural Handbook #496).
