Forgive me if this was already posted:
Neonicotinoid clothianidin adversely affects insect immunity and promotes
replication of a viral pathogen in honey bees

the whole paper.

Note that the organophosphate chlorpyrifos does not have the same immune
depressing response.

We have discussed several papers on synergy between neonics and disease,
but I have not seen the mechanism explained in such detail before.
