For those of you who feed pollen sub this time of year: Do you just make an oval shaped patty the size of the cluster and put between the boxes? I wonder then about clusters ability to thermoregulate, and whether queen would be trapped on one side of the patty for the 1-2 weeks it takes for them to consume.

Or do you make a 'donut' shape so that the cluster can move between the two boxes? More labor but seems like better deal for the bees.

Brion
