Yet another variable.  Commercial beekeepers in Europe would probably see
that number as average or even below average, those in the US might see it
as 'hobby' beekeeping, whereas amateurs in the UK (perhaps Europe?) would
agree with you that 30 is overstocking.  Bailey suggested, I think, no more
than 6 colonies per square mile?
