Jerry,

The Canadian border (for western provinces) was closed to importation of 
bees from the continental United States in Dec.1987.  I was present at the 
BC Honey Producers AGM, Oct.1987, when the proposal to close the border was 
announced.  The importation of bees into the eastern provinces was banned in 
1985.
