Will a 50% losses suffered some very good Alberta beekeepers serve the 
purpose?  The actual Provincial loss probably runs up near that number 
if weak colonies are considered dead.

Notwithstanding the happy talk form the "official" sources, there are a 
lot of beekeepers with huge losses -- and these are guys who have their 
varroa under control, and who treat for tracheal and nosema proactively.
