I'm no beekeeping expert, but I can't see any benefit from coating the
inside of the hive with anything.  The bees seem to know exactly what to do
with the hive interior, so why not take advantage of their labor &
expertise?


It's also worth mentioning that bees will "clean" the hive interior,
removing bits of paint and such from the hive wall.  Some of that is bound
to wind up in your honey.
