In preparing hives for this summer, I've noticed that the technology
of the hive hasn't changed much for about 100 years.

How has modern technology been incorporated into Bee Keeping?

Also, I've heard about European hives made of styrofoam that are much
more disease resistant then the ones used in the US, but that the FDA
won't allow their import.

Does anyone have any info?

Glen
