We bank virgins regularly for a few days if the weather is wet. There

We used to use Cloak's system, but in my dottage these days, just a
strong queenright colony. Excluder on the brood box and we lift a frame
of brood and a comb with plenty of pollen into the super. The cells go
between the two. This is where the virgins will also go if we need to
do that. I have had them there on occasion for a fortnight with only
an occasional loss. I might add that I have never used those kept that
long so do not know if they would mate successfuly.
