Betreff: Workers fertilise egg not queen!
 
 
Dear Madeleine,
 
I'm from Germany.
So I think I'll have to answer about the theory of workers fertilizing the
queen's eggs.
I cannot believe that and I have never heard that before.
 
I read an article about 2 years ago in a German Beekeeping magazine about
fertilizing drone eggs by adding sperm of drones. But this was done by man
in order to control and accelerate breeding.
