Thank you very much for the information. I do not know the answer to your
question about ear mites. The very idea of them reminds me of that wonder-
ful Swift doggerell:
 
    So, naturalists observe, a flea
      Hath smaller fleas that on him prey;
    And these have smaller still to bite 'em;
      And so proceed ad infinitum.
