From Table 4 Pesticide incidence in 749 wax, pollen and bee samples and page 12 figure B titled Wax Fluvalinate. 

Note Fluvalinate with a LD50 level of 15860 ppb and a mean sample value of 7329 ppb for wax puts a portion of the samples in the toxic range. Presumably this kind of level would most likely be obtained with off label dosages.  Its frightening to think that those levels are common, or are they? 98.7% of the 259 beeswax samples contained fluvalinate, but we just don't know how representative those toxic samples are across the country given such different styles of operation.  A larger number of beekeepers would need to be sampled to get a larger picture of the problem.
