Just came across the note in the latest ABJ (p. 738) about a new device for helping with Varroa monitoring. This was only a few days after I've spent fruitless hours searching for any vendor in the US who would sell a basic alcohol wash gizmo. The only thing that I was able to find, aside from Randy Oliver's site on how to build one myself were lids with mesh pre-installed in them.

After all the discussions about the importance about mite monitoring and knowing when to intervene or not, I thought that someone would've come up with a $10-15 solution and made it available to the masses. This company from France seems to have come up with an answer, though this looks like a Rolls-Royce of alcohol wash solutions. Still, even after building a few cheap versions from plastic cups, I'd gladly spend some money on a better oneas mine keeps falling apart after a few uses.

Has anyone come across a vendor in the US who sells a cup/filter solution for doing alcohol washes? Or do we really need to wait till July until this Veto-Pharma product is available for sale here?

Przemek

P.S.
I'm no way associated with this product or company.
