Hi all,

Interesting discussion... This year we have 650 hives that have empty outside frames in the top boxes. Rather than trying to winter singles, we took full outside frames from the hives that had them packed and used it to boost any half full or sometimes empty second brood chambers. Never realized we might be doing the bees a service. 3 more months and we will know how well it worked.
