Hey Mike,
There is cornstarch in most powdered sugar, and it's been implicated as being bad for bees--not sure why. Are you concerned about this at all?

Cornstarch is a waste product for a bee's digestive system (I think) and if the bees are confined where they can't fly, this can then cause dysentery.  I live in lower Alabama (LA) and most years the bees have flying weather at least some time every two weeks, most of the time every week.  Mike in LA
