This article indicates low efficacy of CO2 to dislodge mites:

" CO2 anesthesia alone had no effect, while sugar dusting resulted in significant mite knock down. CO2 anesthesia did not affect the effectiveness of sugar dusting,"



However, it is not clear how vigorously the CO2 samples were shaken in their experiments. This might have an impact on efficacy ?



The video showed rather intense shaking and a high mite load. I would like to see the results of an ethanol test on the same sample.
