Whilst I agree with you, I do wonder whether anyone is now able to complete an overarching study that considers everything that we are doing.  Seems to me that there are now so many variables, not just with what we do but also the impact of climate changes, that it may be beyond our capability to draw any definitive conclusions - and that may be what the chemical companies rely on.
