Hi All,

Juanse, Charles, and others have commented on the benefits of adding bleach to syrup for a variety of reasons. My primary question is for the preservation of mixed syrup but have heard of virus control and other medical benefits to the bees. Are there any controlled trials on the subject? What are the opinions of this list? I have heard 500 ppm but don't know what that means to say 50 gal of syrup. If it matters I use un-chlorinated well water.
