And that is why in most countries there are strict gun control laws and
people look at the amount of gun ownership per capita in the United States
with amazement.

But as regards pesticides, I guess that is why I can not go out and buy the
product that Bob is mentioning in a Walmart here (I think).  Most
pesticides here require a pest applicators license to purchase.  While
there was a lot of opposition to it initially (it requires farmers to take
a course, and it expires, so they have to update with an update course I
think every five years) it has been in place for many years now.

You do not need a license for neonicotinoid fleas collars.
