I did about 10 hives last year on small cell wax. I had zero problems in the
brood nest but as you went outward the bees didnt know what to do with the
small cell foundation.

They really made a mess of it and I wasted alot of time and effort.

When I sat back and thought about, it was simple and I felt dumb. Why would
they want small cell on the outskirts when they should be making larger
drone and honey cells...

This was exactly what they were trying to do, but did a horriable job
re-engineering it...
