I wrote Frank Eischen and he replied just now:
"In the May issue of the American Bee Journal (pages 508-509), we published
an abstract of some of our work. Phostoxin was effective in killing nosema
spores on stored honeycomb. We are still trying to figure out if ozone will work."

I don't have that at hand. maybe someone has a digital copy?

That fits with what I have heard, but I don't know if we get full sterilization
even with radiation due to residual honey and pollen and other complicating issues.

I also wonder if adjusting the concentration, humidity, and temperature might
improve the results. I also wonder if we got to where we were getting good
sterilization if we would be degrading wax and residual honey, pollen, etc.
