I have a related question:

How , in your opinion, do bees build up using open feed methods as compared
to natural flows?

I was thinking of isolating a yard of starter hives (begun w/queen and
couple of frames bees) and feeding them like mad during a period of nectar
dearth here(June, first 2 weeks of July) so that they could hopefully be
built up in time for the cotton flow(roughly mid July thru August.

Any comments

Thanks

John Horton
