Strongly disagree, we run all plastic and did try comparisons when we started, showed the bees preferred the plastic every time. Not just in drawn-out, but they are always the first in the spring with brood in them. 
Like everything else in beekeeping there are no absolutes, it comes down to what works for the individual beekeeper, we can all do things different and yet still all be right. Doesn’t mean what others are doing is wrong….
