Sometime in my beekeeping journey I took one of many exams, and the
question was, "Why do we smoke our bees." It took a lot of time, ink
and paper for me to cover all the bases; gorged on honey, hard to bend
in the proper position, masked pheromones, blah, blah, blah). I piled
it high and deep. When my exam came back I was awarded no credit.
Nada, zip, bupkiss! I complained to the professor, who wouldn't budge
on no credit. His response was, "We smoke our bees to keep them from
stinging!"

Aaron Morris - thinking to the day that I got gypped!
